Awanui Tyreman is a tyre, wheel and suspension shop based in Awanui, Far North. The Tyreman provide quality tyres & service as well as wheels, suspension upgrades & replacements, 4X4 accessories (bullbars, winches etc.) and other automotive accessories. Chris (The Tyreman) is a car enthusiast that is passionate about all things automotive, so you know your ride is in good hands!
Awanui Tyreman got us on the case to create a consistent brand identity for the business. They had a few different looks across different media (business cards, signage, advertising etc.) and we discussed what they wanted to include in their branding, colours, elements, styles etc.
After discussions, they gave us 3x components to work from: Orange, Black & Camo
We began with business cards, their logo being the dominant element in “ATM Orange” (took a “few” shades before Awanui Tyreman decided on the right orange) and a urban/snow camo made up of shades of black was used for the background so we didn’t add an additional colour to the palette. We include a tyre tread gauge on the reverse side of the card not only to look cool, but also add real world function to the design, giving potential customers a reason to hang on to their card.
The Tyreman, being a car enthusiast, also had a 450hp Mazda RX7 track car at home that he wanted to turn into an rolling advertisement for the business. We created a livery that matched his branding & included the logos of friend’s businesses that were involved in the build of the car. Now when they go to track days, everyone knows where to get their next set/sets (if they drift) of tyres!
